Learning about specs and reading reviews can tell you a lot about pre-owned Cadillac vehicles. However, to figure out if one is right for you, you also have to get behind the wheel. And to get the most out of your test drive, there are two good tips to remember.

Focus on the Small Stuff

Because this will be your car for the foreseeable future, you need to make sure it gives you everything you need. For example, if it takes significant effort to get inside – whether it’s too high or too low to the ground – that isn’t ideal.

You also need to make sure your leg- and headroom needs are met. If this will be your primary family car, will there be enough room for everyone? What about cargo space? Consider making a list of important things before heading out to the dealership.

Drive Where You Normally Drive

When you test out a vehicle, it’s important to simulate your common driving experience. This means if you commute to work on the highway, be sure to drive on it during your test drive.

If you live in some of the more crowded parts of Jacksonville, see how the vehicle does in stop-and-go traffic. Find out how it navigates busy streets and tight parking spaces.

If you really want to see how a car performs on the streets you’ll drive every day, you can schedule a remote test drive with our Cadillac dealership and have a vehicle dropped off and picked up at your home.
